Flats are the new stilettos!!

feature

Lucky are those who have height. They look confident and strong wearing the most comfortable flats showing off their long legs in shorts or skinny jeans where as, girls like me who are not that tall make stilettos and wedges their best friends. From 4 to 7 inches I’ve got them all in different prints and colors. My heels are my pride possession no matter what but its hard for me to confess that I’ve kinda been cheating on them with my new found love the oh so fabulous collection of flats out there, from sandals to gladiators to the plastic flats which I feel are a blessing to those who love going to the beach. Not that flats have been out of fashion, but they have created a big impact this season.

My pair of tan gladiators I picked up from Delhi from a place called Totes Gallore were surely a good investment. I went shopping the next day just keeping those in mind and the best part is that they go with almost everything, I can wear them with shorts and a loose tee paired with my all time favorite black tote and my Ck shades or a nice summery dress with cute accessories or even a maxi dress which will look amazing for beach parties or even a lunch date with your girlfriends. Well, who will miss those heels when you can look incredibly fab in you flats and still get all the attention. Not only for lunch dates or beaches; flats are now making a huge mark on the dance floors as well. Wear them with your LBD’s and rock night parties and pubs. And love the blend of fun and comfort.

Colors like tan, beige, browns, gold or even dull whites are few colors which go with everything and for a person like me who loves colors on her clothes, they can always use these subtle ones for flats which compliment your feet and clothes perfectly. But if you love your blacks and navy blues you can always pair it up with bight color flats which will surely give your entire look the “OOMPH” factor.

Gladiators may be my all time fav, but us girls have a huge buffet to choose from. The “plastics” as I like to call them, are a gift to those who love going to beaches like I mentioned earlier. They can be washed if needed and used all the time. I have a pair I purchased from Flipcart (a bright neon pink) which are my second favorite. I have worn them the most and they never disappoint me. I came across a pair of sandals in Zara, which I unfortunately dint pick up, but regret it now, they had a kind of sophistication in them and can be used at your workplaces or during interviews. Pair them with a nice over coat and straight pants or even a pencil fit skirt you’ll definitely fit the part. And yes, there are a lot more options out there, but these are few of my favorites. They may be a boon for tall girls, but for the short girls don’t be afraid to try some. Give your legs some rest and enjoy this summer with some stunning flats.b6e6a9_9bed4d0454f34aafac78ab539feed51f
