My summer must haves

Now that I’m done with college and have a good one and a half months before I leave for Pune to study fashion marketing and styling the only one thing that keeps me busy is shopping. Be it on the streets, the malls or online I give it my all and I’m proud of it. Shopping to me is more than just picking up stuff. I love seeing what’s out there, the new trends, prints, colors they all fascinate me. And I’m in love with everything I picked up for myself when I was in Delhi. I’m not that fond of summer (Funny because I live in Chennai where it’s summer round the year) but the two things I love the most about this season are the fruits and yes, the clothes. Oh, the wonderful colors, prints in the form of stunning maxi dresses, crop tops, high waisted maxi skirts, tank tops, ripped jeans, cute shorts. I love them all. And this time I made it a point to get them all.

A girl never likes it when two people wear the same clothes and turn up to a party. It’s definitely a nightmare for us. Thus, the reason why I shop in Delhi and wear them here. Since brands like Zara, Promod and Mango which have recently opened in Chennai, I see girls going gaga over them, resulting in many matching days. Thanks to Delhi my 3rd favorite store Forever 21 still hasn’t opened in Chennai (Which I’m absolutely okay with) I get to wear clothes without facing my nightmare. I literally stayed in that store. My closet is filled with forever 21 clothes. And the best thing about this brand is that is quite affordable yet amazing. I got some of the best dresses from there. From backless ones to slits I’ve definitely created a mini forever 21 store at home.

And now that I’ll be moving to Pune for a year, which is only 3 hours away from the fashion hub of India, Mumbai I feel like I’m going to paradise. And for a person who has always been a “Delhi girl,” I will surely get to see a lot of different things in Mumbai and I’m eagerly waiting for it. Not only do I get to explore a new city, but I get to try out new fashion as well. But till then I stay loyal to my Delhi summer closet and tell you some of my must haves this season.

So coming to my summer must haves these are the few which top the list:

1. My pair of Mango ripped jeans. (I wear them all the time and they are the best ever)

2. Basic plain black and white T-shirt, something every girl must have. You can keep it simple or dress them up with accessories.

3. Crop tops. Pair them with high waisted skirts or pants. They look sexy yet not slutty. (And hides your muffin top)

4. High waisted long skirts. They make you look confident and sexy. I feel great in them.

5. Flats. (My blog on flats, says it all)

6. And not to forget my pair of Ck shades. I can’t leave my house without them.

Not only this but you can go with a lot of floral and subtle colors and look amazing this summer. These are a few of my favorites, which I cannot go without. Well, when you have time in hand why not use it by shopping. It’s good exercise too. So keep shopping. X
