Color blocking fun

For the past couple of weeks I’ve been doing just black and white looks and I wanted to change that this week. So this time I decided to do a post about color blocking. I’ve seen people going wrong with color blocking, but if done right it can look amazing.
Color blocking can make you stand out of the crowd, but in a good way. This way you get to experiment with different colors, basically have fun. So for this look I decided to go with my two favorites red and blue. I’ve found my recent love in matte lipsticks called the “Ruby Woo” by MAC. It has got me addicted and I find occasions just to wear it, in fact, this look was inspired by the lipstick. I went with a simple blue skater dress and paired it up with a gold statement belt, my gladiators and a red sling. I wanted to go with a red belt for this look, but I left mine in Chennai and dint get the time to buy one. For the accessories, I went with an owl ring, this one I got a year back, but still love it, a midi ring and a watch (For the first time) I don’t know why but I’ve never been a watch person, always thought it looked bad on me. But I gave it a try.
So this was my color blocking look. Hope you liked it and will try to do many color post, but I’m sure that my obsession with black and white is not going to die anytime soon.

Styling tip: Don’t be afraid to try different colors. Yellow’s with pink. Blue’s with red. Pink’s with orange and many more. Try different lip colors or eyeliner if you’re afraid to go bold with clothes. Add color to your life and see the difference it makes.
