Comics x Fashion

Superman, Ironman, Spiderman, Batman, Wonderwoman all these and so many more. Not only do these superheroes entertain us during movies, but have become a part of us. We learn from them, we dress up like them during costume parties and what not. But before there were high end movies there were comics. Not like they are not available anymore, but being a 90’s kid, I’ve grown up reading them and enjoying the special effect they gave us like POW, ZAP, BAM BUFF, PUFF etc etc. And seeing it being taken as an inspiration in the field of fashion is just amazing.

Comics and fashion have been a part of each other for quite some time now and I’m sure it’s something that will stay.

So when I saw this skirt I knew that I had to get it, but was a little skeptical about it as I’ve stopped wearing miniskirts, but decided to take a shot at it. I paired it up with a plain grey crop top and layered it with a long white cape which just completed the look. Along with that I went with a gold chunky neckpiece and comic shoes to just give it a bit more edge.

It’s amazing how we can take inspiration from almost everything when it comes to fashion. That’s the best part about it, how the fashion world is open to all sorts of things. And for girls who don’t like reading comics or watching them at least we enjoy wearing them. Like they say why should boys have all the fun?

Styling Tip: Since the skirt takes all the attention we can keep the rest of the outfit simple. You can always pair it up with a different colored shirt or a T-shirt and you’re good to go.

I’m wearing
