December is a happy month for all of us. It’s a month were friends and families meet and spend time together. The month when you don’t feel guilty of binging on sweets and the month where you make sure you spend time with everyone you love. And this was exactly how my December went, I was so busy with my friends and family that I didn’t get time to post on my blog at all.
So I wanted to make the first post of 2016 really special. Last year, I made a post where I wrote about how 2014 went, but this year I couldn’t make the time for it. So, I decided to start my new year with an overall look to my 2015 and tell you guys about my 2016 resolutions.
2015, was an amazing year for me. If I just have to describe the year in one line I would say, “I had no regrets, last year.” I did everything I wanted to, I traveled to Europe, I really made something of myself career wise and well, managed not to disappoint my folks. Yes, I do regret losing a couple of friends along the way, but everything happens for a reason, doesn’t it?
So this year I decided to make some resolutions and try to live up to them. They’re not one of those, lose weight kind of resolutions, they are resolutions that would help me become a better person and should actually be used by all;
- Save money. I spend every last penny I earn and I need to learn how not to do that.
- Be patient. This is something I lack, be it just with family or friends or even a situation.
- LET GO- this is something I find really had to do, but sometimes it’s the best option.
- Never give up on anything or anybody easily.
- Say what you feel. If you like someone, tell them. What’s the worst that could happen?
- Never jump to conclusions. Life is a marathon, not a 100 meter race.
- STAY POSITIVE.
Things will change, if your best friend stops talking to you, don’t be sad. It’s not the end of the world; they will eventually get back to you. If you lose a job, don’t lose hope, it might be for the best and you’ll eventually find something better. Just DON’T GIVE UP.
So these are couple of my resolutions and something you should all follow and see the difference you will make.
Now coming to the look! This has got to be my favorite dress of all. I wore this for new years and found it to be a perfect fit for the occasion. Marsala/Burgundy being the color of 2015, I found it apt to end the year in the color. I ordered this dress from a site in London and my best friend was sweet enough to bring it for me. I paired it up with my gold heels and I was ready to end my year in style.
Styling Tip: You can always accessories a dress like this by adding a delicate necklace or just keep it simple like I did.
